Spray coating makes iPhone waterproof, is available now.
A few people were very excited by this story last month, about a newly invented water repelling spray. Now another company has finally brought the idea to life, under the brand name Liquipel.
While the makers won’t say exactly how it works, they claim the coating of nano particles will make your iPhone or similar device waterproof using their method, although you’ll have to send it away to them for up to two days for the treatment, with the service costing US$59. Then you can finally store it in a wet cylinder like the picture above.
Good news for clumsy people or those of us living with a toddler who likes to throw things in the toilet (oh I miss my Nintendo DS!). Here’s hoping Apple licences Liquipel in time for the iPhone 5.
Check out the Liquipel page here.
